CC Detect^sm is a novel blood test used to screen individuals to determine the likelihood that they have colorectal cancer. Individuals with stage I, II, III, and IV colorectal cancer have higher serum HAAH levels than individuals not known to have cancer. When an individual's serum HAAH level is considered in conjunction with his medical history, physical exam, and the American Cancer Society's recommended screening tests, a physician may be able to make a more informed decision about whether a biopsy is necessary.
